APPLICATION PROCEDURE Getting application forms

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Getting application forms

You can apply to your chosen university by downloading the application form directly from their official website or requesting it via email. Make sure to clearly mention the intake/semester you wish to apply for.

Filling Out the Application Form

Once you have the form, complete it carefully with accurate and updated information.

Documents Required for University Application

When submitting your application, ensure you include the following:

1. Completed Application Form

A fully filled application form downloaded from the university’s website, containing all required details.

2. Academic Transcripts

You must submit academic transcripts from Matric (10th) onward:

  • Matric (10th) and Intermediate (12th) transcripts do not require sealed envelopes.

  • Bachelor’s degree transcripts and provisional certificates must be submitted in sealed envelopes, with the official seal and signature across the flap.

Providing properly verified and sealed documents increases your chances of smooth application processing.

  1. Statement of Purpose (SOP)

Your Statement of Purpose should ideally be one page and clearly outline your academic background, career goals, reasons for studying in your chosen country, and why you selected a specific program and institution. A strong SOP reflects your motivation, clarity of purpose, and future aspirations.

    Recommendation Letters

Most universities require 2–3 recommendation letters from your lecturers, professors, or workplace supervisors. These letters must be:

    • Written on official college or company letterhead

    • Properly signed and sealed, including the envelope

    • Personalized to reflect your achievements and performance

Since no two students are alike, recommendation formats must be customized. At AK Dream Destinations, we provide tailored templates whenever needed.

    Bank Statement (Proof of Funds)

A financial statement or bank statement shows that you (or your sponsor) have sufficient funds available for your studies abroad. This must include:

    • Funds in a Savings Account or Fixed Deposit

    • A statement on the bank’s official letterhead, clearly mentioning available funds

    • Amount stated in your local currency and the destination country’s currency

    • Bank’s official seal and manager’s signature

Each university requires an original bank statement showing enough funds to cover at least one year’s tuition and living expenses.
To avoid requesting multiple originals, you may photocopy the signed statement (before final sealing) and have each copy separately stamped and signed by the bank manager. University-specific requirements will be explained during your admission guidance session.

    Affidavit of Support (AOS)

A legally notarized Affidavit of Support on Rs. 20 Non-Judicial Stamp Paper must be submitted to show that your sponsor is financially committed to funding your education. An original AOS is required for every university you apply to.

    Application Fee

Some universities require an application fee, while others accept applications without any charges. This varies depending on the country and institution.

    Submitting Your Application

Once all documents are ready, it is crucial to apply well before the university deadlines. Most institutions process applications on a rolling (first-come, first-served) basis, so applying early significantly increases your chances of admission.
